Coordinator of Science Education Doctoral Program Participates in Monev RKLI LPTK in Jakarta

Jakarta, November 20, 2024 - The Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Indonesian Collaborative Research of Educational Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK) was held for two days, Tuesday and Wednesday, November 19-20, 2024, at the Luxury Inn Arion Hotel, Jakarta. The event was attended by around 95 participants from various universities that are members of the ALPTKNI LPPM forum, including the Indonesian Education University (UPI), Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), Padang State University (UNP), Malang State University (UM), Medan State University (UNIMED), Surabaya State University (UNESA), Yogyakarta State University (UNY), Semarang State University (UNNES), Makassar State University (UNM), Gorontalo University, Jakarta State University (UNJ), and Manado State University (UNIMA) Tondano.
The event began with an opening ceremony led by the Chairman of ALPTKNI, Prof. Dr. Markus Diantoro, M.Si from the State University of Malang (UM). In his speech, he emphasized the importance of inter-university research synergy to produce outcomes that have a real impact on the development of education and policy in Indonesia. After the opening, a technical briefing on the implementation of monev was delivered by the committee, followed by a research monitoring and evaluation session. The M&E process was conducted in a hybrid manner, with presentations of research results in turn by each research team. This activity provides space for in-depth discussions between researchers and reviewers regarding achievements, outcomes, and obstacles in the implementation of research. One of the researches presented in this activity was the research of Prof. Dr. Insih Wilujeng from Yogyakarta State University (UNY) in collaboration with the Indonesian Education University (UPI). This research focuses on the innovation of Earth and Space Science (IPBA) lectures based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum achievement. The research was conducted for six meetings in the IPBA course and produced various important outcomes, such as: IA Cooperation between research institutions; Textbook that can support OBE-based learning; Scientific Argumentation Questions to hone students' critical thinking skills; Copyright as a form of intellectual protection for the innovations produced.
The activity was closed with a reflection and evaluation session summarized by the committee. Prof. Dr. Markus Diantoro, M.Si., expressed his appreciation to all participants for their contribution and spirit of collaboration in this research activity. “Through collaborative research, we can strengthen the role of LPTK as the frontline in producing quality educational innovations in Indonesia,” he concluded. This activity is expected to encourage the sustainability of collaborative research that is more innovative and has a broad impact on the development of education in the country.
