The Science Education Doctoral study program accepts its first batch of students in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The number of students accepted was seven people (7), each of whom chose the science, physics, and biology concentration. After studying for two semesters, one of the first students, Ratna Dyah Hartanti, took her first dissertation proposal exam. The dissertation proposal examination is offline in Meeting Room 1 FMIPA UNY. The exam lasts one and a half hours, from 08.00 to 09.30 WIB. The examining team consists of five people: Prof. Dr. Paidi, M.Si., Dr. Suyitno Al., and M.Si as Promoter and Co-Promoter. Meanwhile, the other three are the Chief Examiner, Secretary, and Main Examiner.

Students taking the dissertation proposal exam must take research methods courses and a dissertation proposal seminar. This is intended so students can prepare dissertation proposals according to their respective ideas. It is hoped that the courses presented will facilitate students and lecturers as promoters or co-promoters to continue communicating so that the completion of the dissertation runs smoothly.
