Yogyakarta, August 9, 2024 - The Science Education Doctoral Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Yogyakarta State University, held an Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) on Friday, August 9, 2024. The event, which started at 14.00 WIB, was filled by the main speaker, Prof. Dr. Insih Wilujeng, M.Pd., with moderator Desy Purwasih, M.Pd. This orientation activity aims to provide an initial introduction to new students regarding various important aspects that they will face during their education in the S3 Science Education Program. In her presentation, Prof. Dr. Insih Wilujeng explained the structure of the curriculum to be taken, including compulsory and elective courses, as well as the introduction of lecturers who will guide students during their studies.

In addition, Prof. Insih also highlighted the importance of academic services provided by the campus, such as the library, academic guidance services, and other supporting facilities. No less important, she also discussed the procedures for filling out E-monev (Evaluation of Learning Monitoring) and Study Plan Cards (KRS) which are crucial parts of the academic process. Desy Purwasih, M.Pd., as the moderator, guided the discussion and question and answer session with the new students. The participants were very enthusiastic in asking about various things, ranging from strategies to complete their studies on time to how to access optimal academic services. This orientation activity is expected to be a strong first step for new students in preparing themselves to undergo studies in the Science Education Doctoral Program FMIPA UNY better and more directed.
