A. Brief Profile of the Master of Education in Chemistry (MEC)

      The Master of Education in Chemistry was held as an independent study program based on an operational permit from the Directorate of Institutional and Cooperation, Directorate General of Higher Education No: 434/E /O/2014, dated October 2, 2014. This study program was originally as a Master of Education in Science with Educational Concentration Chemistry which was held from September 2012 to September 2014. The Master of Education in Chemistry is located at the Graduate School, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Karangmalang Campus, Jl. Colombo No.1, Yogyakarta 55281 INDONESIA.       The curriculum developed in the Master of Education in Chemistry outlines two things: the scientific foundation and the expertise of the study program. The expertise of the study program includes two things: subject matter knowledge and pedagogical knowledge. The development of study program expertise enables graduates to have a sound understanding of chemical and pedagogical content.
